Sans Pareil Singers

Andrew Young became the Director of Music for All Saints' Church in Hurworth in January 2008, moving from Aske Chapel, nr Richmond. He was the Musical Director of the Stockton Male Voice Choir between January 2005 and December 2009. His work with the two choirs inspired the creation of the Sans Pareil Singers which he co-founded in January 2009.

Andrew started his musical career playing the French Horn in the school orchestra, county youth orchestra and the local TA band. In 1990 he went to Oxford Brooks University to study education, during his time at university he expanded his musical expertise and learnt to play the organ and sang in a variety of choral groups performing religious pieces, 20's pieces and standards.

Since he finished his BEd, Andrew has been a primary school teacher in Stockton specialising in Music, DT and History. In 1996 he helped to form P'Nache a brass quintet and plays the French Horn (or other brass instruments & percussion) at local gigs. He was also a member of The Yorkshire Volunteers Band and has played for some local orchestras and conducted local groups.

Andrew strives to stretch a choirs abilities whilst providing a light hearted and warm environment for all singers. The concerts that he comperes and conducts are memorable with audience members coming back time and again. As an arranger and composer (selling music via BaBa Productions, Sibelius and this web page), he is able to create unique and personalised pieces of music suitable for the choir and the event.
